The Spectrum provided the common language for collaborative conversation.

The intent of this workshop was to gain an international perspective about the use and implementation of the Spectrum of Teaching Styles. One of the primary goals of the Spectrum Institute is to create a community of colleagues who desire a more systematic investigation of and collaborative relationship with the Spectrum. This first international conference offered such an experience. Although participants were from various countries, they shared a common pedagogical language - the Spectrum. The conference provided the opportunity for colleagues from around the world to gather, share, review, clarify, and expand Spectrum knowledge, and to connect with others for collaborative research possibilities.
