My PhD doctoral studies employed The Spectrum of Teaching Styles as the theoretical framework to investigate the teaching styles of tennis coaches in Australia. I was fortunate enough to have Sara Ashworth as my associate supervisor for my thesis. Ever since, I have been involved in publishing academic papers and presenting practical workshops both in Australia and internationally at various physical education and sports coaching conferences. I also regularly engage with over 25 tertiary institutions in Australia to provide professional learning to pre-service teachers, human movement and sports coaching students. These lectures and practical tutorials include applying the various teaching styles located on The Spectrum using tennis as a vehicle
