I was first introduced to the Spectrum of Teaching Styles during my undergraduate studies. I revisited Spectrum research throughout my graduate years, and I chose to focus my MEd capping project on the Spectrum. Since then, I have spent time helping pre-service teachers develop a deep understanding of the Spectrum, and I've authored a few articles on Spectrum use related to effective teaching in physical education.
I am currently writing a book chapter entitled, The Teaching Continuum: A Framework for Generalist Trained Elementary School Teachers in Physical Education (Perspectives of the Spectrum of Teaching Styles). And, I continue to discuss the importance and effectiveness of the Spectrum with my colleagues (e.g., school teachers, teacher educators, researchers).
